Reflect

Keep your eyes open - Joy lives in small places!

It seems to me that some of the most beautiful and exciting things are all around us. I have experienced the desire for more and better -and I think those emotions, those driving focuses are necessary in the execution of one's life. However, I am starting to believe more than ever that you don't need to look beyond yourself in order to really enjoy life. Finding the beauty, the joy, the LIFE in life is all a matter of opinion, vision, and attitude. Someone who is happy sees happiness around them - it seems to shooot out of their eyes and if you happen to lock eyes with them one of two things happens. You either absorb that sunshine or you reflect it. This depends entirely on your attitude! If you're in a terrible mood and someone in a great mood comes anywhere near you they may amplify your misery. In relation to someone with stars or hearts or clouds in their eyes, your misery looks like a giant black rock. Lifeless. Hard. Impenetrable.

If we LOOK for the good, we find it. Unfortunately, we also usually find a smattering of bad, cruel, evil, and/or miserable. In the face of these shady places we can still find light but we must REALLY want to find it.

Sometimes finding happiness or light - the sunshine is hard and improbable.. near impossible. Perhaps we set ourselves up for failure... what I think is so very important in life is simply to find SOMETHING in EVERYTHING that moves you forward. Whether that be something that makes you feel wonderful or makes you feel the worst you've ever felt in your life - the trick to life is to FEEL it. If you can find a way to process everything that comes at you with humility and a sense of wonder then everything is about the experience, the sensation, the intrigue of a new and invigorating life enhancing moment. Nothing can bring you down if you don't let it.

Love,
M

Magnificence

Own your magnificence - the world needs your brilliance and grace.

Most of us need to feel necessary -not needed, per se, but necessary - as though we have a purpose and without us the world would be a different place entirely. But how to contribute? What do we have to offer that no one else can?

Inside each of us is a spark -a mark of life, a brilliance. It shines through us, through our darkest moments and is made visible to others even when we cannot see it. In fact, sometimes, it is only through the reflection of another that we see it. But regardless of how it is made visible, it is present. And it is up to each of us to share it with each other, with the world.

The harsh reality is that no one is going to come looking for it. If it crosses their path, they may stop to admire but they will not seek you out. You must put yourself out there - put your glow in the pathway of others - offer yourself to the world. It is the only way for people to see us!

We each have something to give, to offer, to donate. It may be a shape, a color, a feeling -it may affect one person, or it might affect many, hundreds, thousands - it COULD change the world. One thing is certain - it won't affect everyone is you refuse to share it with anyone.

Be confident in your abilities, your brilliance... surprisingly enough confidence can magnify your shine by a factor of a thousand!

And do not fear - it is visible... it shines right through - out your eyes and your smile in a brilliance that people see as a beautiful soul, a light in the darkness, a compassion, a radiance.

So radiate! Do not hold your gifts ransom from the world, rather put them out where everyone can view them. Not all will appreciate them, not all will "understand" them or you, but someone will. Someone will see you for who you are, and they will give thanks indefinitely that you were strong enough to offer yourself to the world - that you gave them the pleasure and the opportunity to experience you in all your magnificence.

I love you,
Michelle
